{Wedding Update - Engagement Photos}

This past weekend was packed full but the majority of the weekend was spent focusing on Wedding Planning!  My mom and dad were nice enough to head up to Minneapolis for the weekend, specifically so my mom could help me with wedding details!  We shopped, met with florist, tried a new brunch place, enjoyed the weather on a beautiful patio with a glass of wine and talked what felt like non stop about the wedding!  

While we spent a lot of time talking about little details for the wedding, I would say my biggest goal/focus was on finding the perfect outfits for Derek and my engagement photos!  Derek and I are taking our engagement photo on, August 11th... right around the corner!  We decided to take our engagement photos in Minneapolis, at one of my most favorite spots in the city... The Stone Arch Bridge.   While the Stone Arch Bridge is one of the more popular places to take engagement photos I don't care, because the scenery is absolutely beautiful!   I love the all the stone of the bridge, the scenery the river provides, and the ruins of the old flour mill.  All perfect spots in my mind to take our photos!  

Thinking of the spot to take our engagement photos was easy, figuring out what to wear... that has been  the tough part for me!  Thankfully a full day of shopping with my mom helped ease my mind about what to wear!  We are going for a classic, casual look that reflects our style and personality, with hints of our wedding colors (Navy and Orange)!  I want our engagement photos to be fun, candid and to reflect who we are and our love!  Check out some of the engagement photo inspiration I have been pinning on my Pinterest board!
