Honored

I received this little card yesterday in the mail from my dear friend Kalyn!
I literally was teary eyed as I saw the picture realizing that this card was asking me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding!  Kalyn and I have been friends since out freshman year at Butler!  Like she mentioned in her card she still remembers the first words I said to her the day we met (which were so who wants to party tonight...yea that as me)!
Our friendship has taken us on many wonderful journeys, including 5 mission trips to Jamaica together.  AndI am truly honored that Kalyn has asked me to stand along side her on her big day, it is truly a special moment to stand along side a dear friend as they marry their best friend!

Have you been asked to be a bridesmaid in a cute way?

  9. What a sweet, sweet card and way to be asked to be a bridesmaid! I love it! My boyfriend was just asked to be a groomsmen in his best friend's wedding, and the card was really funny, but still cute. Can't wait to see pictures of you all dressed up ;) Even if it's many months away!

  10. Eek! I didn't even know they were engaged! Perhaps we aren't friends on Facebook!? It's so much fun asking your bridesmaids to participate in your big day! I wrote a handwritten card for each of my girls and gave them a cupcake.

  15. Oh I love this so much!!!! THAT IS SUCH AN AMAZING WAY TO BE ASKED TO BE A PART OF SUCH A SPECIAL DAY! I got asked recently by two good friends and both had a little gift - one was a wine stopper (because obvi we love wine!) with a card and the other was an ornament engraved with "will you be my bridesmaid". It's just such a special time and such a huge honor! Love it so much!

Hope you're having a great day! XOXO

  22. Hillary, I just found your blog and wanted to say hello! :) Five mission trips together is an awful lot to have been through with a friend. Congratulations on being a bridesmaid!
